"Ultimate" Johnny Cash Tribute
"Train To Glory"
A Gospel Tribute to Johnny Cash
In his
song “The Pilgrim” Kris Kristofferson described Johnny Cash this
way, “He’s a walking contradiction, partly truth and partly fiction,
taking every wrong direction on his lonely way back home”. On
September 12, 2003 Johnny Cash did finally make it home, a home he
believed in with all his heart, mind and spirit. A larger than life
figure with larger than life faults, he was also a man of tremendous
faith. Cash’s musical legacy is huge and impressive. But while most
music fans can name a long list of secular hits from the man in black,
few are aware of the
extensive catalog of gospel music left to us by this American music
legend. “Train to Glory” pays tribute to the inspirational songs of
Johnny Cash. This incredible program features Cash originals like
“Over the next Hill” and “He turned the Water into Wine” as well
as fan favorites “Peace in the Valley” and “Were you there when
they Crucified my Lord”.
Terry Lee Goffee brings the Man in Black to
life in this wonderful tribute to the gospel music of Johnny Cash.
